UPDATE 6/24/26: Novelist/philosopher Ayn Rand was a fierce advocate of free enterprise/free markets/individualism, often dismissed as too radically devoted to pure reason and absolute atheism. Whatever, she turned whole generations into commonsensical, rational conservatives, and her most celebrated and effective protege Alan Greenspan as head of the Federal Reserve (1987-2006) oversaw an era of bull markets and thriving prosperity.

UPDATE 6/28/26: Fortunately, we have a POTUS firmly dedicated to American principles and fully aware of the Red plague that continues to pose the greatest threat to our way of life. Thanks to the Democratic Party now fully embracing that plague, we cannot take for granted this healthy, hopeful vision of America, coming from the top. Given power again, we can expect quite the opposite from the Left.

UPDATE 6/26/26: In the general public’s mind, the FDA has long been the benevolent government gatekeeper reliably determining which pharmaceuticals are safe to consume. Enter omnipresent financial and political corruption, and one is reminded of those Covid restrictions criminalizing those offering legitimate, alternative solutions to a desperate medical emergency. Absolute power corrupts, and so it has been with virtually all government agencies given that omnipotence in their respective realms. Public health oversight must be flexible enough to grant shared authority (along with responsibility/liability) to individual physicians prescribing alternative drugs and treatment that might be specifically helpful to their patients.

UPDATE 6/27/26: Beyond all the harsh, panicky criticism, cooler heads are inclined to believe Trump is playing a long game necessary to preserve his Presidency and to win big for the Middle East in the end.
Who of even minimal awareness believes the Mullahs are going to honor ANY agreement or deal drafted? A nihilistic, kamikaze death cult has little or no fear of anything earthly that might reward them a non-stop express to those 72 virgins. It would be a hundred presents under the tree on Christmas morning if Trump’s gambit on Iran had neatly removed the Mullahs and a reborn Persia was on the way back. That is unlikely to happen until deteriorating internal conditions trigger a mass uprising by its citizens. What we do have ahead is the world’s leading source of terror in the sights for more harsh military measures if they actively pursue their atomic goals or interfere with international commerce by blocking the Strait. At this stage it’s containment, not conquest, and the best hope is letting the clock run out on their crippled ability to sustain themselves as a country.
