UPDATE 7/2/26: Mt. Rushmore’s placement in the American heartland, far from the crowded centers of power on both coasts, makes it particularly evocative of the rugged, independent American spirit. Facts of its relatively unknown but fascinating history only add to the special mystique.
UPDATE 7/5/26: Quel surprise! The NY Times thinks Trump’s Mt. Rushmore speech a bit gauche. Goodness, he used the word “communist” in a rather negative fashion multiple times. Oh my. So Archie Bunker. The rest of us in touch with what communism means now and has meant to those countless millions of enslaved, murdered souls over the last century consider such truth-telling a gift.

UPDATE 7/2/26: Until Viktor Orban’s recent landslide defeat at the polls, Hungary seemed to be the vital, thriving alternative to the dreary EU-driven fate of overrun, destabilized, secularized Europe. Sadly, the new regime is poised to relax migration controls and erase Orban’s steadfast efforts to make a burgeoning nuclear family population and Christianity the foundation for a stable future. It appears the solid, sensible days are over for the Hungarians. Disappointing.

UPDATE 7/3/26: The Supreme Court (thanks to RINO turncoats Barrett and Roberts) had a particularly treacherous week with a decision allowing the tabulation of mailed-in votes to go on as arbitrarily long after Election Day as it takes for the Dems to create enough fake votes to win. We saw it in 2020, and we’ve just seen in in LA, and now what was naively considered Trump’s conservative Court has made it the law of the land.

UPDATE 7/4/26: The Supreme Court, thanks to RINOs Barrett and Roberts, has boosted the Dem Left’s long-range goal of a UniParty electorate made up of an overwhelming majority of government dependents bribed with permanent U.S. Treasury largesse to vote for their Dem Party/BigGov benefactors. Birthright citizenship granted babies of foreign mothers born either by circumstance or intentionally on American soil is a perversion of the 14th Amendment that was drafted post-Emancipation with the worthy intention of ensuring citizenship for newly freed Black slaves and their offspring. The new decision enabling an explosion of “anchor babies” is a cynical misinterpretation of that.
