UPDATE 6/20/26: If the mission to overthrow the Mullahs has been unpopular from the start, the “deal” now being made seems even less so. Jeers, catcalls and profanity-laced booing from the Western stands fill the air.
The good news is, thus far, there have been no American soldiers sacrificed, no “boots on the ground.” That may have to change.
The bad news is we have to content ourselves with old-style Cold War “containment” while the world waits decades for these evil-doers to self-destruct, either from a totally collapsed infrastructure and/or popular uprising from the Persian people themselves. Problem is, there are too many Iranians who don’t want a change in which case, the world’s leading terrorist organization remains intact for the foreseeable future.
The Iran deal is less than ideal. A problem long overdue to be addressed but missing the desired neat, surgical solution.

Serving as the (literally) red cherry on top for him was placing a MAGA hat on the conflagration. The Windy City cross-burning provides a nice companion meme to go with the exposure of the inflammatory and now debunked SLPC (Southern Leadership Poverty Conference), caught hiring Nazi/White Supremacist types to stir up race-based confrontations for the cameras.
