UPDATE 4/9/26: It’s a sad sign of the times that the exciting Artemis II mission isn’t a universally unifying source of pride for America and humanity in general. Some of us recall polite Liberals in 1969 sneering at the moon landing as “money that would be better spent on solving world poverty.” Too bad. The rest of us in these jaded times find the history-making pioneer spirit thrilling and the photo record awe-inspiring. [But for $93 billion, couldn’t they provide these astronauts with a properly functioning toilet?]
UPDATE 4/11/26: Brutal realism in political matters has produced a totally unorthodox figure like Trump who doesn’t pretend life is inherently easy, kind or fair. Think “the big stick” which goes very far to explain severe TDS in so many. Luckily, at least half of the electorate knows that that big stick is a prerequisite to solving the very real, very thorny problems of life. Those of the rose-tinted persuasion need not apply.
UPDATE 4/5/26: When the British monarch, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, deliberately skips delivering an Easter address to his subjects after offering a lengthy Ramadan greeting, it’s no longer idle conjecture believing that Great Britain has succumbed to Islamic conquest. The Queen is revolving in her grave, and all champions of Western civilization look on in profound contempt at this telling omission.

4/12/26: Two can play this game. As the hopeless “peace” talks flop, Trump has announced the US will now be the one determining who passes through Hormuz.
UPDATE 4/10/26: Traffic remains at a standstill in the Strait of Hormuz but work proceeds on clearing the mines planted there by the gracious host country. The whole mission to neutralize and ultimately erase the Mullahs remains just and absolutely necessary; the implementation not a cakewalk. We are dealing with the devil here.
UPDATE 4/8/26: Well, whadya know? A rare, daring bird is this President, continuing to do what he promises to do, a trait that proves effective dealing with bureaucrats slow to hand out building permits as well as with Islamic savages. Everything difficult of importance is a gamble, but the lesson remains: more often than not, strength and resolve produce results while accommodation and procrastination do not. Unfortunately, the ceasefire is proving to be just words, but Trump plays the long game, knows with whom he’s dealing, and he doesn’t like to lose. That stubborn persistence is what the MAGA base voted for, not avoidance of harsh reality.
America wins, Israel wins, and the rest of the bunch (the fair weather nation “allies” and wailing internal renegades) will eventually find themselves wiping away that big messy omelet splattered all over their weak-willed mugs.

Now concerned citizens find themselves in need of more extensive grief counseling and justice for a machete-wielding unfortunate named Anthony Griffin making nice with people at Grand Central. Only three prior arrests! And now senselessly dead at the hands of a trio of racist cops! Surely a social worker could have de-escalated this more effectively than gun-toting, racist policemen. We wait for Mamdani’s balanced, wise assessment of the matter and justice for Anthony.

UPDATE 4/10/26: After blatantly Prog Pope Francis, his successor can be commended for a traditional approach to theology. However, he would do well to emulate his heroic predecessor Pope John Paul II and not be swayed by popular “Liberation” trends but, instead, take an unambiguous stand against blatant evil like the Iranian Mullahs and for those who are taking fully justified, overdue action against them.
