UPDATE 2/25/26: Trump’s derring-do personality, as maddening as it may be for some, is our best hope for the reborn dominance of life-positive, Western/American values. Nothing worthwhile historically has ever been accomplished without a clash of forces, good vs. evil, resigned passivity vs. resolute purpose and action. The alternative is civilizational stasis, a prelude to deterioration and decline.
UPDATE 2/25/26: Few images of American spirit and pride are more stirring than the flag raising at Iwo Jima. It happened this week 81 years ago, February 23, 1945, as we surged to final victory in the Pacific theatre. We are forever grateful for this visual moment of greatness, capturing the best in and of us.

It’s disturbing they both continue to attract large followings and make a good deal of money which, in the last analysis, may explain why they have taken on the toxic stances they have.
UPDATE 2/23/26: If there is still any residual hesitation about detaching fully from Tucker Carlson, his now infamous Israeli junket has finalized the break. It started with his demonstrably false claim of being hostilely “interrogated” by Israeli customs leading up to the exchange below between him and Mike Huckabee, fully outing himself as a slithery, self-aggrandizing fabulist. His delusional strategy is to paint Israel and Zionists as villains in order to come off by contrast as a moral giant. Watching his frantic re-fashioning of reality to his own advantage suggests nothing less than the manically manipulative mind games of a sociopath.
In the interview below, every word coming out of Carlson is a tactical maneuver designed to confuse and trap Huckabee in a web of Gotchas! while making himself appear the soul of sober virtue and passionate patriotism.
Unfortunately for TC, Huckabee cannot be derailed, answering from a position of confident maturity, honesty and hard facts.
At this point the kindest words applicable to TC is “embarrassing clown.” Considering his appreciable influence and the seriousness of the issues he chooses to distort, his particular clownishness is not funny but quite sinister. At this point without looking back, we can only look forward to the waning of any influence he has and a decisive exit from the scene.

Therefore, there is talk of one or both of these eminent jurists retiring this summer to allow suitable, true-blue conservatives to be nominated and approved in their places while there is still a GOP-controlled Congress. What a loss Thomas and Alito would be, but there is the future to consider.
