UPDATE 9/3/25: Trump continues to amaze as he sweeps not only through hardball DC politics but into the arts and our general culture as well to bring back beauty and sanity. There are many of us old enough to remember and treasure the privilege of enjoying heroic American architecture in everyday public places like movie palaces and cathedral-like train stations. Can it be master builder DJT is serious about restoring the glory of the old NY Penn Station?
UPDATE 9/3/25: Trump’s hands-on involvement in the Kennedy Center is drawing our attention to how far down we’ve gone in 2025 from America’s cultural peak in the 20th century. Consider the first Kennedy Center Honors in 1978 when we were honoring the likes of illustrious notables like Fred Astaire, Marian Anderson, Richard Rodgers, Arthur Rubinstein and George Balanchine. This year’s honorees, personally approved by Trump (principally for their un-Wokeness), are c&w singer George Strait, disco queen Gloria Gaynor, Rocky/Rambo Sylvester Stallone, British musical stage actor Michael Crawford and bizarre white-face rock weirdos Kiss. To be tactful: things just aren’t the same.

UPDATE 9/5/25: Two formerly enlightened stalwarts of the free Western world, England and France, have somehow normalized political tyranny, denying their citizens both free speech and free elections. In the UK’s case, it’s the arrest of a prominent comedian/tv writer for a trio of social media posts mocking transsexuals and in France’s case, the legal banishment of a hugely popular rightwing candidate from the electoral process for similarly un-Woke views. When exactly did the Left in both countries so completely take over the culture to allow this to happen? In both cases, it’s still bloodless and rather quiet, but it is no exaggeration to say that the ominous presence of Orwell’s “1984” and Robespierre’s Reign of Terror are a reality in 21st century Europe. Americans can take comfort in Trump’s resounding victory in the 2024 election, but time has shown we are not immune to a sudden shift back to the extreme Left as the surreal BrandonWorld horror show years attest.
How dumb can an American congressman be? Behold. What a pointless waste of time.

UPDATE 9/4/25: Elon is gone, but the DC Augean stables still demand a major cleaning. That garbage run should include the National Endowment for Democracy, launched originally in the Reagan years but now just a massively costly (annual budget $315 million) boondoggle that exists solely to push Progressive/Leftist policies around the world and, of course, trash any international political figure to the right of Stalin as “authoritarian” and “a threat to democracy.” Naturally high on that doo-doo list: one Donald J. Trump.

UPDATE 9/5/25: Such a mystery why the Dems running those big crime-ridden urban hellholes are not keen about accepting Trump’s help in keeping the citizenry safe. Could it be their power lies in keeping their voters scared, dependent and living under the illusion that only they can help them(and keep those billions in “aid” flowing in from the Fed)? Of course Chicago doesn’t need Trump‘s help: only 9 murders, 51 wounded over Labor Day weekend.
UPDATE 9/6/25: Ben Shapiro’s new book “Lions & Scavengers” nicely articulates the contrast between a society fostering productivity and prosperity (Lion states like Florida for example) and one that feeds off the productivity and prosperity of others (Scavenger states like California for example). Among the seven deadly sins at work between the haves and have-nots of this world, envy is perhaps the most malignant.
UPDATE 9/5/25: The liabilities of AI on young children’s development are being ignored at a terrible cost. We are raising new generations of young people robbed of the challenges of traditional learning-by-doing now being replaced by the quick conveniences of passive, computer-generated problem solving.
UPDATE 9/4/25: As always with those heavily funded government programs benefiting only their bureaucrat administrators happy to skim millions off the top, follow the money. That includes the over-subsidized “failure factories” of public education in rotting cities like Baltimore.

UPDATE 9/5/25: Florida’s new policy banning all mandatory vaccination is already having serious blowback but often for the wrong reasons. A strong case against mandates exists thanks to the clear abuse during the Covid catastrophe by BigGov vax tyranny and BigPharma profiteering. On the other hand, what of vaccinations long proven safe for childhood polio, whooping cough and other medically preventable ailments? Overall, there is a compelling argument against mandates since vaccinations are easily available for American adults free to choose or reject treatment for themselves and their children.
