UPDATE 1/17/26: It’s been a first year of “winnings” for Trump as the MAGA agenda retains its momentum-closing the border & deportations of criminals and illegals; serious peace & liberation initiatives in the Middle East, eastern Europe and South America; fossil fuel production revived, lower gas prices, putting flight to the fictional “climate crisis;” the de-politicization of science and medicine; a return to competence & merit over divisive, destructive DEI policies surrounding race and gender.
Cutting through the thick fog of disinformation and insurrectionist resistance from the Left, Americans must be made aware of who in Washington is really on their side and who is in the active business of subverting those policies and actions that have concrete benefits for all Americans.
He must make his case with the electorate by the time of the midterms next fall or spend the latter half of Trump 2.0 crippled by his (and America’s) tireless, INTERNAL enemies.
UPDATE 1/16/26: It’s hard to argue with Charlie Kirk’s open-handed style of reaching people, especially the young, engaging them in peaceful, civilized conversation and intelligent, informed debate on the important issues. His murder is a loss for those seriously dedicated to making us a country united on all the essentials that have made America the greatest, freest, most productive nation in human history.
UPDATE 1/15/26: The TDS sufferers will never view Trump’s initiatives and the man himself as anything but evil. One moment, he is the “dangerous” isolationist, the next a “dangerous imperialist.” For those seriously wanting the best for all Americans, he is the modern version of Teddy Roosevelt, sometimes wild, often misunderstood and misinterpreted, as in his not-unreasonable rationale of controlling Greenland as a matter of national security. Love him or hate him, he is refreshingly tireless and sincere in pursuit of those things that make America and individual Americans genuinely great, in big things and small. The overriding questions are who benefits, who loses, and in the final analysis, is anybody a loser (except for those fanatically dedicated to the perennial lost cause of Leftist/Marxist/totalitarian utopia)?

UPDATE 1/16/26: Lest anyone forget what a terrorist state is and what it’s like to live in fear and die horribly there, there is Iran, now in the throes of what could be a return to a Western, civilized way of life as was enjoyed prior to the overthrow of the Shah and installation of the savage Ayatollahs. We may actually be witnessing big changes as reports emerge of regime Bigs wiring vast amounts of money abroad in assumed anticipation of said rats abandoning ship.
Trump’s bracing words to the Iranian people now fighting for their lives stand out in stark, positive contrast to the shameful indifference and outright collusion of the Obama-Biden administrations. When he says, “Help is on the way,” what actions are we to expect? Is this political theatre amounting to nothing or a real sea change for Iranians and the balance of power in the tinderbox Middle East?
UPDATE 1/15/26: There are some of us old enough to recall the mood of those leaden “Peanut Farmer” days of 1979 when the folksy fraud and paragon of weakness from Plains GA betrayed the Shah, thereby thrusting an entire Westernized culture back into medieval servitude, setting the stage for an explosion of Islamic terrorism on an international scale. Who can forget the American humiliation as the second worst POTUS of our lifetimes (after the Demented One from Delaware) helplessly dithered interminably while American hostages rotted away in captivity. The unforgettable happy ending was the dramatic release of the hostages, timed literally to the moment as Reagan assumed power, a gesture designed for maximum humiliation by the Mullahs on a pathetic, empty (frankly nasty) figure who should never have been anywhere near the Presidency. God willing, we (and the Iranians) are due for an equally cathartic conclusion to this 50 year nightmare that has included the collaboration of the Left in full, enthusiastic alliance with this assault on all things free and Western.
Is there a happy ending for America, the Iranians and the world living under the threat of Iranian-financed terror? What figure has given more indication of being determined and capable of facing down this evil than Trump? He is well on the way to working wonders for an enslaved Venezuela, making us cautiously optimistic that he can do the same for Iran.
