Given a hugely influential spiritual leader guided by humane practicality and common sense, not politics, a semblance of real universal unity is plausible. What rational soul can object to that?
God willing, the 21st is destined to measure up to the 20th as yet another uniquely golden age American Century.
UPDATE 5/15/25: The amusing, touching interview with Louis Prevost, the Pope’s older brother, suggests the new Pontiff is a natural politician unlikely to ruffle feathers with skewed political bias like his predecessor. Louis himself boasts an unapologetic, opinionated colorful social media history that already has endeared him to the MAGA crowd.
UPDATE 5/15/25: How better to disarm the Left’s divisive mission than breaking up the rigid Marxist/class/ID politics factions and selling common sense and benefits to all sides. Obviously, the committed Dem Left will never accept anything that might reflect well on Trump’s policies, however beneficial those policies are. Similarly on the international front, he is selling profit and peace as an alternative to terrorism and war in the Middle East, all seemingly with success. (Ok, so it hasn’t even been a week but it’s all on the table). Unfortunately, Iran, like the Dem Left, remains intractably committed to its nihilist vision of destruction.
