UPDATE 3/28/26: We’re supposed to be wringing our hands and despairing about WWIII. Not necessary if one agrees that crippling Iran, bit by bit, has to be done and done to completion. In the meantime, America is minimally suffering, at the gas pump or otherwise, while the bad guys like China and neutered fence-sitting Europe are being forced by America/Israel-induced Iranian fallout to come around and help finish the job or at least get out of the way.
UPDATE 3/26/26: Who’s sweating out the Hormuz oil hold-ups the most? Luckily not the US which, thanks to Trump’s freed-up energy policies have made us happily self-sufficient. China, depending upon 38% of that Hormuz oil, is not faring so well. One more benefit of the Iranian incursion.
UPDATE 3/27/26: For the anti-American crowd always wishing for a Trump catastrophe, the news is not particularly good. Neutralizing and ultimately conquering one of the world’s evilest and most militarily developed regimes was never going to be a neat, surgical endeavor, but the signs of Iranian failure and outright collapse are increasingly apparent and good tidings for those on the side of the angels. Naturally, we’ll never hear about progress on this score from the naysayer politicians and their lapdog pundits in the media.
UPDATE 3/24/26: Those supporting America’s overdue actions against the Iranian terror state believe there is everything to lose in further delay.
Aside from those reflexively against anything Trump does, the rational arguments questioning this action are based on fears of repeating failed attempts after 9/11 to promote political liberty in Islamic backwaters like Iraq and Afghanistan. The fact that Iranians have a relatively recent history of liberty and Western values prior to Carter’s hapless delivery of the country to the Mullahs in 1979 suggests Iran can have a successful outcome.
There’s the not-so-minor consideration that Tehran is Ground Zero for the most virulent international terrorist network of our times. The best hope is for tyrannized Iranians themselves to rise up against the regime. However long that takes, we must neutralize then destroy their military capabilities in order to restore the Western-oriented pre-1979 Iran. A first step might be installing Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as the transitional leader. The best strategy avoiding American casualties is allowing Israel to do the dirty work of eliminating this scourge one Islamic fanatic at a time. Bye bye, Hamas and Hezbollah. Hello, newfound stability for the Middle East and worldwide relief from Mullah-driven terrorism.
Minus the Mullahs, did we mention a weakened Middle East presence of Ayatollah intimates China, North Korea and Russia? The benefits of a disabled Iran are numerous.
The best hope is to go all the way and gloat a bit over Trump’s predecessors who either sat on their hands or tried to buy off this sworn American enemy for 47 years. Pray for the immense satisfaction of shaming those who still attribute this vital move to be “Islamophobia,” racism, imperialism, fascism, blah blah blah.
ORIGINAL POST 3/8/26: We are at the beginning of an end that has been 47 years in the making with specific sparks like October 7 to hurry things along to this dramatic juncture. We’ve arrived at Now Or Never, and what’s coming to light is that this is about much more than Iran but a ripple effect shaking the foundations of hostile rogue nations symbiotically tied to the Mullahs. How this war is waged is a matter of speculation best left to those we trust to carry out this mission to completion. The outcome could be a true historical watershed, transforming for the better much more than merely the Middle East.
The most satisfying immediate transitional move would be the return of the Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to provide a sense of civilized restoration and renaissance of a captive nation languishing in a primitive, medieval dungeon for half a century.
