UPDATE 1/23/26: Donald Trump is a formidable presence applauded by those Americans (and rational folk worldwide) cognizant of the dangerous world we inhabit and reviled by those who reject the realistic notion of Peace Through Strength, both domestically and internationally. His star turn at this week’s WEF confab in Davos was a reassuring display of visionary, American confidence, maddening as always to his stubbornly hateful enemies and a cheering boost for those supporting determined, workable steps toward national security and economic stability.

UPDATE 1/23/26: Republican approval rates for Trump are at record highs. But is Republican turn out at the polls consistent with that? Probably not, which should be cause for great concern. If the GOP doesn’t hold both Houses of Congress at the midterms only 10 months away, the elation and promise of Election 2024 and Trump’s subsequent accomplishments will have come to nothing.
It’s been an impressive first year by the numbers. Those supporting real benefits for Americans look forward optimistically to 3 more years of even better news. TDS sufferers, including RINOs, will continue to vote Left or, by default, sit things out rather than vote for anything or anyone behind Trump and his agenda.

UPDATE 1/22/26: The American spirit is alive and well in South America as Millei revives Argentina. By grim contrast, Europe continues on its self-imposed decline-and-fall trajectory.
UPDATE 1/22/26: What’s all the fuss about Greenland? Trump thinks it important enough to make it a prime issue and even switch gears in the round-about, deal-making process of getting what he is certain is vital for American defense.
UPDATE 1/21/26: Trump’s economic vision reviving home-grown industry, manufacturing and resultant high employment is the goal of all serious, freedom-loving Americans. Unfortunately, it is not to be easily or quickly realized after decades of outsourced production, businesses (and the jobs they create) run more cheaply with minimal restrictions on foreign shores. In the meantime, costs of vital imports remain high, attributable to Trump’s tariffs, a dilemma that will be solved as the production of essentials gradually moves from abroad back to our own heartland. The lack of “affordability” meme has become standard propaganda from the Left, projecting their own culpability for high prices (inflation to pay for their ever- expanding Welfare State, draconian taxes and regulations on business) onto the free market.
UPDATE 1/23/26: Still one of the most effective spokesmen for independence, individual liberties and the free market.
UPDATE 1/17/26: It’s been a first year of “winnings” for Trump as the MAGA agenda retains its momentum-closing the border & deportations of criminals and illegals; serious peace & liberation initiatives in the Middle East, eastern Europe and South America; fossil fuel production revived, lower gas prices, putting flight to the fictional “climate crisis;” the de-politicization of science and medicine; a return to competence & merit over divisive, destructive DEI policies surrounding race and gender.
Cutting through the thick fog of disinformation and insurrectionist resistance from the Left, Americans must be made aware of who in Washington is really on their side and who is in the active business of subverting those policies and actions that have concrete benefits for all Americans.
He must make his case with the electorate by the time of the midterms next fall or spend the latter half of Trump 2.0 crippled by his (and America’s) tireless, INTERNAL enemies.

UPDATE 1/16/26: It’s hard to argue with Charlie Kirk’s open-handed style of reaching people, especially the young, engaging them in peaceful, civilized conversation and intelligent, informed debate on the important issues. His murder is a loss for those seriously dedicated to making us a country united on all the essentials that have made America the greatest, freest, most productive nation in human history.
UPDATE 1/15/26: The TDS sufferers will never view Trump’s initiatives and the man himself as anything but evil. One moment, he is the “dangerous” isolationist, the next a “dangerous imperialist.” For those seriously wanting the best for all Americans, he is the modern version of Teddy Roosevelt, sometimes wild, often misunderstood and misinterpreted, as in his not-unreasonable rationale of controlling Greenland as a matter of national security. Love him or hate him, he is refreshingly tireless and sincere in pursuit of those things that make America and individual Americans genuinely great, in big things and small. The overriding questions are who benefits, who loses, and in the final analysis, is anybody a loser (except for those fanatically dedicated to the perennial lost cause of Leftist/Marxist/totalitarian utopia)?
UPDATE 1/9/26: A lesser political figure would be daunted the present-day messes inside and outside America. Not so Trump. Violent opposition to his anti-crime/deportation policies; boycotts of concerted efforts to rid us of Woke/gender bender politics/historical revisionism poisoning the culture; trying to settle wars in Ukraine and the Middle East; the routine threats from foreign tyrannies…He has managed to be engaged in untangling all these and other Gordian knots simultaneously as the unquestioned leading player on a huge world stage. Despite unprecedented resistance to him by his own countrymen and a protean personality that alternately maddens and delights even his most ardent supporters, he is succeeding more than he is failing. With Trump, everything old and venerable that was Teddy Roosevelt’s hale & hearty, principled American is new again, thanks to this equally distinctive, transformative figure for our times, elected to turn around what has been a floundering ship taking in water and headed for the rocks.

MAGA!
UPDATE 1/3/26: The promise of Inauguration Day, 2025, is an uplifting memory, somewhat dampened over this last year by inevitable bumps, some quite serious. Remember Ben Franklin’s warning about us being “a Republic, if you can keep it?” We’re now suffering serious strife within the MAGA ranks between prominent pundits and now even between the loyal MAGA base and its elected leadership, all of which could lead to disastrous midterms and a sudden halt to what has seemed like a miraculous Trump renaissance. Can we keep our precious Republic?
A little more distance is needed here.
